Give today to support refugees and other newcomers in Salt Lake City.
Support for our local Soft Landing Fund ensures that refugee families have a safety net as they work hard to rebuild their lives in our community.
Through the IRC in Utah’s Soft Landing Fund, families receive crucial support at some of their most vulnerable moments in the United States. The Fund is there to mitigate housing instability and provide support for emergency needs when no other resource is available.
In addition to supportive case management and workforce development services, the IRC in Utah ensures refugee and new American families remain stable through the bumps along their resettlement journey. This includes:
• Housing and rental costs: The affordable housing crisis is the single biggest barrier for refugees and other newcomers rebuilding their lives in Utah. The IRC provides short-term financial distributions to cover rent as they overcome extreme hardships to remain housing stable.
• Emergency housing support: Emergency short-term shelter due to sudden unemployment, medical issues or domestic violence.
• Other emergency support: From navigating food insecurity to keeping the heat on, the IRC helps families make ends meet as they work toward long-term solutions and self-sufficiency.
Your donation today ensures stability for local refugee and new American families work hard to not only survive, but to thrive in our community. Thank you for lending them a helping hand along the way!
Here in Utah, the affordable housing crisis is the single biggest barrier for refugees and other newcomers rebuilding their lives here. That’s why we created The Soft Landing fund, which provides temporary emergency housing and rental support so families facing extreme hardship can remain in stable housing. As we continue welcoming refugees and immigrants from across the globe, your donation to The Soft Landing Fund establishes a safety net for families working towards self-sufficiency.
