Central American families fleeing violence and persecution are being cruelly separated by U.S. border officials, detained in prison-like facilities, and re-traumatized in a country where they sought safety and protection.
A coalition of interfaith organizations and communities has joined together to support these families. Through your generosity, the International Rescue Committee - working alongside other on-the-ground agencies - will help mothers, fathers and children to reunite and find safety and security in the United States as they pursue asylum. IRC will facilitate family reunifications, ensure families can meet their basic needs and access psychosocial support, and connect them to critical legal services.
Together, our country’s faith communities will replace cruelty with compassion and love. For children and parents desperate to be in each other’s arms, time is of the essence.
Donate now to help children and their families seeking asylum in the United States.
A gift of $2,500 will help one family safely reunite, arrive at their destination, and receive referrals for needed services. These funds will help a family attain trauma counseling, medical care, housing, food, clothing, and additional critical services.
