The coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to spread rapidly across international borders. It has reached countries with weak health systems like Pakistan, Syria and Yemen, which are less prepared to combat the disease. Vulnerable populations and those living in crisis will be hit the hardest by this outbreak.
In 40 countries around the world, the International Rescue Committee is maintaining its life-saving programs while launching coronavirus preparedness and response efforts. In places like the United States, Greece, Italy, Syria and Yemen, our health teams are working around the clock to rapidly detect, respond and prevent further spread of the disease.
